This wonderfully unique property is ideal for parties wishing to stay together while experiencing New Orleans. The property has a large indoor pool, piano, bar, two kitchens, huge living and dining area and nine private bedrooms (10 beds), each with its own full bath (Exception: two adjoining rooms on the second floor share a bathroom). Perfect for older kids. We have one pack-n-play. A bathroom, laundry, and shower is in the pool room.
New Orleans-styled decor throughout. Wi-Fi is available throughout the house. The home is across the street from Pascal's Manale and Charlie's Steakhouse. French Truck Coffee, Il Posto - a french cafe, and Polite Society - a spa and salon are two blocks down on Dryades. Walk three blocks to the St. Charles Streetcar and head to the French Quarter, or hang out on nearby Magazine Street and Freret Street. This is a true, unique New Orleans experience.

The home's history:
4417 Dryades, like much of New Orleans, has an ambience all its own, with architectural features of different historical periods.
In the early 1900s, the Mexican Counsel to the United States purchased the property. A ceramic-tile pool with a unique domed ceiling were added in 1927. In 1972, the building was sold to become one of the first in a series of indoor scuba diving schools. Prior to our recent renovations, the property was a clothing-optional Bed & Breakfast.

We are licensed (occupational no. 177058) with the city and have recently passed inspections by the city and state fire marshals. Certified fire extinguishers are mounted throughout the house and a fire alarm system was recently installed.

I had a huge crowd of college friends that wanted to stay together for the National Championship game. We found the Blue Lagoon Nola and don't regret a thing. This house was great for our large group. It is convenient to everything we needed and accommodated the large group with ease. The rooms are comfortable and the pool/bar area was our favorite gathering spot. We had a party of about 30 one night and the Blue Lagoon handled it beautifully. Rachele was responsive and helpful with any issues that came up. Two thumbs up for the Blue Lagoon!

My wife and I rented out this large well equipped home while at a convention in NOLA. We enjoyed swimming in the pool and the close proximity of the home to much of what the city has to offer. One night we had a group from the convention over for a swimming party which was a blast. We are coming back next time we travel to NOLA.

Great place for a large group especially multigenerational families. AC a little erratic, but thanks to Leo's expertise, no problem! Pool area is excellent as a focal point for family interaction. Everyone having their own room with a bathroom ensures privacy when desired . Overall a great experience.

Rented the Blue Lagoon for my birthday party which also fell during Mardi Gras. Incredible property! We had 16 guests and didnt even need to use all of the bedrooms. The pool is nice, but the bar area next to the pool was a fan favorite. It was like having your own local bar for you and your guests. Highly recommend for all groups, whether family, friends or couples. Rachele was easy to communicate with and Eric the caretaker came through in the clutch when one of our guests accidentally left an important personal item at the property. Highly recommend and I hope to visit this property again!
